Privacy Policy — Clay Trainer

Clay Trainer ("the app") is provided by Covote GmbH & Co KG, Berlin, Germany ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: privacy@claytrainer.com
Summary
We collect the minimum needed to run your account and log your shooting sessions. We do not show ads, we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing. Your data is stored in our backend (Supabase) and on your device.

Location — important
The app requests location only when you tap to save a range's location and confirm you are physically there. We capture a one-time coordinate at that moment. We do not track your location in the background or continuously.
What we do NOT collect
No advertising identifiers, no analytics/usage tracking, no crash-reporting SDKs, no contacts, no third-party social logins.
Where your data is stored
Cloud: our backend is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL), which acts as our data processor. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). On your device: a local database and cached preferences so the app works offline at the range.
Payments
Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing (and, in future, Apple App Store). We never see or store your card details. Subscription status is relayed to us via our payments partner (RevenueCat) so we can unlock Premium.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the service (Supabase for storage; Google Play / RevenueCat for payments), each bound by data-processing agreements.
Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see below); backups are purged on our provider's rolling schedule.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to withdraw consent (e.g. for location). To exercise any right — including full account deletion — email privacy@claytrainer.com; we respond within 30 days. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Germany, your state Datenschutzbehörde).
Children
Clay Trainer is not directed at children and is intended for shooting-sport participants (adults / supervised minors per local firearms law).
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in-app.
